Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Mountain City Electric website. They are about the website itself — not about the electrical work we perform, which is covered by whatever we agree to directly with you for your specific job.
Last updated: July 16, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
This website is owned and operated by Mountain City Electric LLC ("Mountain City Electric," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting the site, browsing our pages, or sending us a message through the estimate form, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
The site is informational. It exists so people in Moscow, Deary, Potlatch, Plummer, Tensed and the rest of North Central Idaho can learn what we do and get in touch. Nothing here creates a customer relationship on its own — that starts when we talk.
2. The content here is not electrical advice
Everything on this site — service descriptions, project photos, answers to common questions — is general information about the kind of work we do. It is not electrical advice, instructions, or a diagnosis of anything going on at your property.
Do not use anything on this website as a guide to performing electrical work. Electrical work is genuinely dangerous. Mistakes cause fires, injuries, and deaths, and hazards are not always visible or obvious to someone who is not trained to look for them. Idaho also requires that electrical work be performed by properly licensed people and, in most cases, permitted and inspected.
If you have an electrical question or a problem at your home, shop, or business, contact a licensed electrician. We are glad to be that call: 208-987-0013.
3. Estimate requests are not contracts
When you fill out our estimate form or email us, you are sending a request for an estimate. That is all it is. Submitting the form does not:
- schedule any work,
- obligate us to take on the job,
- obligate you to hire us, or
- set a binding price.
Nothing on this website is a quote. No page, description, or example on this site sets a price for your job.
We stand behind the way we price work: the price we quote for a specific job is the price we bill for that job. That promise applies to a quote we give you for a defined scope of work after we have assessed it — not to anything published on this website. Work, scope, price, and timing are agreed directly between you and Mountain City Electric. If the job itself changes after we have quoted it, we talk to you about it first.
We also can't guarantee how fast we will respond to a form submission or an email, so if a matter needs prompt attention, call us at 208-987-0013 instead of relying on the form.
4. Using the site
You are welcome to use this site for your own purposes as a customer or potential customer. Please don't:
- use the site or our contact form for anything unlawful, or to send us fraudulent, abusive, or misleading information;
- use our form or email address for unsolicited sales pitches, spam, or bulk messaging;
- attempt to interfere with, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site or any system behind it;
- scrape, copy, or republish the site's content for a competing business or listing;
- misrepresent yourself as us, or as being affiliated with or endorsed by us.
5. Our name, logo, and content
The Mountain City Electric name and logo, and the text, photographs, layout, design, and code on this website are the property of Mountain City Electric LLC or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The photographs on this site are of our own work and our own people.
You may view the site and print or share pages for your personal, non-commercial use in evaluating or hiring us. Anything beyond that — copying our photos, reusing our content on another site, or using our name or logo — requires our written permission. Ask us; we're reasonable people.
6. Links to other sites
This site may link to websites we don't run, such as Google, manufacturer pages, or state licensing resources. We include those links because we think they're useful. We don't control them, we're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices, and a link isn't an endorsement of everything on the other end of it. When you leave our site, the other site's terms and privacy policy govern — not ours.
7. The website is provided "as is"
We work to keep this site accurate and up to date, but we make no promises about it. The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of anything harmful. Information here may become outdated, and details may change without notice.
To be clear: this section is about the website only. It does not limit, reduce, or disclaim anything we owe you for actual electrical work we perform for you. Our licensing, our insurance, our obligations under Idaho law, and whatever we agree to for your job are unaffected by these website terms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Idaho law, Mountain City Electric LLC and its owner and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use this website, or your reliance on any information published on it.
Again, this limitation applies to the website. It does not apply to, and does not limit, our responsibility for the electrical work we actually perform. Some limitations are not permitted under applicable law, and where that's the case, they don't apply to you.
9. Privacy
Information you send us through the estimate form or by email is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to this website or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, and you agree to those courts having jurisdiction over the matter.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our site or our business changes. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. If we change our services or the content of the site, we may do that at any time without notice.
12. Severability and entire agreement
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms are the entire agreement between you and Mountain City Electric regarding your use of this website. They do not replace or override any separate written agreement, estimate, or invoice covering work we perform for you — those control for the work itself.
